The event is for the entire family and will be held at the rink at Norman Johnston Secondary Alternate School, 2401 Cleroux Crescent.

Protective Equipment

9 January 2024

In this week's video, we are talking about protective equipment including providing examples of how facial protectors and neck guards can be worn improperly. This is important information for all coaches and players.

The referees in the GHA will be paying special attention as they have noticed players wearing their facial protectors and neck guards improperly. Players can receive penalties up to a 10 minute misconduct for violations.

Calling all prospective officials! D9RA has a need for additions to its staff next fall. If you’re a player, parent, or coach and you’d like to see hockey from a new perspective, you can register for our D9RA tryout and potentially don the stripes during the 2023-24 season.

Come join us for a fun-filled 2 weekend event.

This weekend bring your best Stingers spirit to cheer on your Blackburn Stingers U13 A team.

Stingers games:

• Friday @ 9am and @ 3pm

• Saturday @7am (yikes!) and @11am

• Semis are on Sunday at 7am and 8:15am

• The Final for A is at 4:00pm and the Final for C is at 5:30pm

Please drop-by anytime! Watch some great hockey and check out the raffles, 50/50 etc…..

We have partnered with Blackburn by Shug, a lifestyle brand inspired by sports, music, culture and community. This company was founded in the community of Blackburn Hamlet by former Stinger and NHL Alumni, Mark Fraser.  

For every purchase made, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Blackburn Minor Hockey programming to help subsidize hockey fees for lower income families.

Orders placed before November 30th will arrive before Christmas. Orders placed after November 30th cannot guarantee Christmas delivery.
