Registration Info
Registration for the 2024-25 season is now open!!!
UPDATES:
October 2, 2024: Registration for U18 is now closed as we have reached our capacity.
Welcome to all new and returning hockey players. We are pleased that you have decided to play hockey this season and join 400 players from within the Blackburn Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) boundaries in playing either house league or competitive hockey.
Should you be registering in the BMHA? Check our BMHA Boundaries page or the HEO League Locator site.
Access our Secure Online Registration page, where you will be directed through the registration process using Hockey Canada Registry/Spordle. Payments are accepted by credit card through the PaySafe payment system. In its efforts to reduce the costs of operations, the Blackburn Minor Hockey Association no longer accepts cheques for registration fees. All registrations are to be made through our online system.
For those of you who may be interested in financial assistance, please see Helping Pay For Hockey. This includes information about accessing free goalie equipment.
We continue to support the registration for tryouts at the competitive level:
For players who are successful at tryouts with the Gloucester Rangers or Junior 67s, once we are advised that a player has “made the team”, we will automatically forward all monies* we have received for that player to the respective association.
We have partnered again this season with the Orleans Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and Gloucester Centre Minor Hockey Association (GCMHA) to operate Rep B hockey for our respective players. Once a player has made the Rep B team ("the Blues"), we will automatically forward all monies* received for that player.
* Transfer Monies: "All" does NOT include NSF Fees or Late Fees
For more information see our Registration FAQs
Registration Fees (2024-25 Season)
Registration fees include all games, base team practice ice for House League and Initiation Program players as described in our By-Laws, and player/goalie skill development sessions.
The fee structure is by Division (age level) and has an 'early bird fee' (for players registered by July 16th) and a 'regular fee'. For U21, the 'early bird fee' is for players registered by September 26th.
Large Family Discount: A large family discount, which is meant to help lower the registration costs for families with 3 or more children registering with the BMHA, shall discount the lowest registration fees by 50% for the 3rd and each additional child from the same immediate family. To benefit from the discount, families must register all players in the same registration transaction.
All fees must be received in full for a player to be considered registered. Per our on-line registration system, payment may be made on-line (one time payment). Players registering after September 1st must pay immediately and prior to any player being permitted to participate in evaluations and on-ice or off-ice sessions.
Please note that in addition to the registration fee, there are team fees that are established by each team to pay for tournament registration fees, extra ice and other team expenses. The team fees usually range from $200 to $400 per player.
